Brief Bio


Jeonghwan Park received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea in 2006 and the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Daejeon, Korea in 2008. Jeonghwan also received the Ph.D. degree with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and ElectroScience Laboratory, The Ohio State University in 2017. 

After that, Jeonghwan has been working for Global Science & Technology, Inc., as a Support Scientist I/II.

In 2018, Jeonghwan joined the Ocean Surface Winds Team at the Center for Satellite Application and Research (STAR), National Environmental Satellite Data and Information Service (NESDIS), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), College Park, MD, USA. Since 2020, Jeonghwan has been working with the Hydrological Science Laboratory at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC), Greenbelt, MD, USA.

Jeonghwan's current research interests include NISAR soil moisture retrieval algorithm, satellite data calibration & validation, and active microwave remote sensing applications including GNSS-R.
